Shhhh… it’s a surprise!

Happy Holidays, my friends!

For those of you who celebrate Christmas, I expect that you are having a wonderful time with your family. For those of you who don’t celebrate Christmas, I expect that you are having a quiet, relaxing day, while most of the stores and businesses are closed.

In my family, Christmas morning is a big whirl of fun, lunch is a magnificent feast, and afternoon is… sleepy. My husband is a church organist, so we were out until almost 2am last night- and then we did the ‘Santa Clause Thing.’ He’s been asleep on the couch since about halfway through the presents. My daughter, who is 11 and still believes in Santa (sort of), is worn out from the excitement of opening presents, and is settled on the couch with a movie and some of her new toys. My parents are pretending to watch… by watching the inside of their eyelids. There’s only the occasional snore to give their sneaky nap away.

I should nap too, but I’m not quite ready to snooze before the evening’s festivities begin. (That’s when everybody wakes up, some more friends stop by, and the party gets going.) And, I’m not quite ready to tackle the chaos of my sewing room. (I may have destroyed it, trying to finish all of my last-minute-Christmas-gifts on a deadline.)

So, I thought I’d go ahead and post this exciting announcement….

Shhh… it’s a surprise!

On January 9th, I’ve invited Certified Professional Organizer® Amara Willey to teach us how to find the sewing machine table under the chaos that follows the wake of sewing on a deadline. She has been helping people put their lives in order since 1993. She believes that everyone can discover his or her own personal organizational style. Her hands-on approach is supportive and non-judgmental. She is a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). She is managing partner of Time to Get Organized LLC, your life will be more peaceful. Working with the energy of the space, she helps her clients to find calm and order in the world.

I am so excited to learn how to apply Amara’s techniques to the sewing room. Hit reply to this email, and let me know what chaos you are excited to tame in your studio!

Jan

PS. Now, I’m ready to go poke around my sewing room… so much for a nap!
