I need a pattern in order to quilt. Why are there no patterns in ScrapStashtic quilts!?!!!

Scrapstashtic Quilts has a full section of Quilt Recipes, but no true patterns.

Think for a minute, about a dish that you learned to cook from your mom- like meatloaf… BBQ… or chili. When your mom taught you how to make these recipes, did she pull out a cookbook and measuring cups?   Or did she teach you the general method of making each of these dishes, and show you how to approximate the right proportions of the ingredients? During your next cooking lesson, did she teach you how to tweak the basic construction of the dish, based on the collection of ingredients in the fridge on that particular day?

The Scrapstashtic System relies on a similar, less formal approach to quilting. The blocks are simple and quick to construct, and you can rely on your sewing common sense to adapt the designs to the scraps that are hanging around in your sewing studio. Because you will be making your quilts out of your scraps and your color palate, the recipes are depicted as simple graphics. It would have been much easier to provide you with photographs of every quilt recipe, however, I wanted to allow you the maximum creative freedom to develop your own ‘voice’ in scrap quilting. Photographs would make it too easy for you to stifle your ‘voice’ in order to mimic mine.

Basically, you just need a little inspiration to jump-start your creativity and your sewing expertise!

Scrap quilting is a great, low risk way to stretch your creativity and try out artistic concepts before you sit down to work on your next masterpiece.
