A Scarlet Thread Quilt Shop

Do you remember my trip to Atlanta this spring?

I have been shuffling through my photos, reliving the good times, and I came across a quilt shop that I visited, but forgot to tell you about!

So, the last shop that I visited in May was A Scarlet Thread Quilt Shop, in McDonough, Georgia.

This shop was very appealing, and I am ready to jump on a plane, right now, to go back and shop so more!

Want to see some pictures?

I had traveled about an hour from the last quilt shop to this one (remember, I had spent my last day in Atlanta roving from quilt shop to quilt shop…. with a few “scenic” detours when my GPS got confused by the ever present construction).

The Scarlet Thread had a lovely blend of machines, and fabric, and samples in all styles. This purple and green sampler is their BOM project.

There was a lot of very traditional fabric that called to me….

And the displays were so appealing…. I could have taken ALL of the fabric home with me!

This sample quilt blends the traditional design concepts with a fresh and modern feel, withoutbeing a “modern quilt.” I think I would like to make this one…. I’ll have to order the kit.

Even in the spring, A Scarlet Thread was thinking ahead to fall! This shop really has a way with the shelf-top tableau!

If you love modern quilting, this store is also ready to meet your quilting needs!

I have been to a LOT of quilt stores this year…. and A Scarlet Thread stands out in their ability to provide a diverse, yet cohesive selection of fabric. I was, and am, very impressed.

See what I mean about their diverse collections of fabrics? If you are ever in the area, this shop is worth the trip!

I found the ombre pinwheels visually pleasing…. I wonder if I could add this quilt to a room in my house?

Here is a closer look….

Yup! I really like this quilt!

Every corner of the shop had new delights and adorable quirks to discover!

Can you believe that this is still the same shop? I am really impressed by A Scarlet Thread’sability to straddle all of the major quilting movements!

Inspiration at every turn!

Quilt store staff are always helpful and pleasant, and A Scarlet Thread‘s staff really excelled at being helpful and cheerful!

I love these vibrant colors….

This is a lovely collection ofpre-cuts…. my weakness!

I had a delightful time visiting A Scarlet Thread, and if you are ever near Atlanta, Georgia…. make the trip to McDonough to visit this store!

Happy Quilting!
